Satirical website The Onion buys Infowars

The sale comes as part of the judgement awarded to Sandy Hook victims.

The Onion, a satirical news publication, announced that it has purchased Alex Jones’s Infowars website at a bankruptcy auction.

Driving the news: The decision to acquire Infowars was described as easy by a satirical CEO, Bryce P. Tetraeder, part of the Global Tetrahedron executive board.

  • Alex Jones’s Infowars business was auctioned off by the trustee handling his bankruptcy proceedings, aiming to liquidate his assets to pay for a $1.5 billion judgment awarded to Sandy Hook shooting victims’ families.
  • The Onion characterized Infowars as an “invaluable tool for brainwashing and controlling the masses,” criticizing its dedication to manufacturing anger and radicalizing vulnerable members of society.
  • The future plans for Infowars under The Onion’s ownership will be revealed in due time, with The Onion expressing satisfaction with the acquisition and its consolidation of power and capital.
