Fresno man exploits minor through Among Us game 

The man could spend the next three decades behind bars after coercing a minor to send sexually explicit images.

A Fresno man used popular game Among Us to sexually exploit a minor. 

The big picture: Peter Yang, 34, pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a minor in federal court. 

  • From November 2021 to March 2022, Yang communicated with a 15-year-old in Missouri on the game Among Us, as well as through Discord and FaceTime calls. 
  • He coerced the 15-year-old to create and send sexually explicit images. 
  • Yang also discussed traveling to Missouri to meet with the victim at a motel. 

What we’re watching: Yang faces a maximum of 30 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. 

  • His sentencing is scheduled for July 14.
