Rawhide come up short in offensive battle with Lake Elsinore

A back-and-forth offensive struggle between the Visalia Rawhide (0–1) and the Lake Elsinore Storm ended with an eked out 8-7 Storm victory on Tuesday.

With both sides tied at 6 runs heading into the seventh inning stretch, Rawhide lead-off man Jorge Barrosa hammered a solo home run to put Visalia in the lead, marking the second lead change of the night.

Ultimately, it was all for naught, as Storm left fielder Matthew Acosta answered back with a two-run home run to give Lake Elsinore a lead it wouldn’t lose.

Visalia reliever Harrison Francis was issued the losing decision after facing two batters, giving up a home run, two earned runs, and three walks.
