Sanger Police Chief Greg Garner stepped down from his position on Monday.
Commander Joshua Johnson is filling in as Sanger’s acting police chief.
The big picture: Garner leaves the city over four years after he was hired as the chief, which followed a stint as the Selma Police Chief and 34 years serving with the Fresno Police Department.
