Prandini, U.S. women capture silver in 4x100m relay

Clovis sprinter Jenna Prandini nabbed her first piece of Olympic hardware early Friday morning.

Prandini, selected as the third leg to run in the 4×100 meter relay final in Tokyo, helped the United States reach a silver medal in the event.

Jamaica’s speedy foursome led greatly in the race to capture gold, with U.S. anchor Gabby Thomas unable to make up a gap.

Great Britain finished third for bronze.

The American silver medal ends a back-to-back Olympic streak of golds in the relay race.

Jamaica’s gold is the first since the Athens games in 2004.
