College all-star games to feature several Bulldogs

Fresno State players have been invited to compete with some of the top players in the nation as they try to showcase their abilities to NFL scouts.

Six Bulldogs will appear in postseason all-star games as they try to impress NFL scouts ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft. 

More players could be invited to participate throughout January. 

The big picture: First up is the College Gridiron Showcase and Symposium in Fort Worth, Texas, from Jan. 5-7. 

  • Defensive back Morice Norris Jr. will participate in the event, which features practices with professional coaches, drills, meetings and interviews before playing in an officiated game. 
  • Wide receiver Erik Brooks will join Norris at the College Gridiron Showcase.
  • Linebacker Levelle Bailey and defensive back Carlton Johnson have accepted invitations to the Hula Bowl on Jan. 13 in Orlando, Florida. 
  • Founded in 1946, the Hula Bowl All-Star Football Classic invites the top 100 college football players to play in front of scouts. 
  • Offensive lineman Tyrone Sampson Jr. and long snapper Nick D’Ambra will compete in the SPIRAL Tropical Bowl in Orlando, Florida, from Jan. 18-20.
