Visalia opens applications for planning commission

Visalia is accepting applications for anyone interested in serving on the city’s planning commission. 

With one seat open on the commission, the term would begin on July 1 and end on June 30, 2026. 

Driving the news: The planning commission makes recommendations to the city council about land use, building and subdivisions. 

• It also administers the Zoning Ordinance and handles matters that affect growth and development. 
• Meetings are held on the second and fourth Monday of every month at 7 p.m. 
• Visalia will accept applications until March 8. 
• Anyone interested can visit the city’s website to apply.
