Four Central Valley band directors have been selected to perform in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City .
The big picture: Claudia Andrea-Tarvin, the only music teacher in Fresno chosen for the parade, will perform with the Band Directors Marching Band.
- The other Valley band directors selected for the parade are Theodore Taneleon Jr., a teacher at Parlier High School, Visalia Unified’s David Morris, and John Rodrigues of Woodville Union School District.
- The band directors will be part of over 400 from across the nation that are participating in the parade.
- The marching band theme this year will celebrate the dedication, accomplishments, and hard work of band directors and music teachers.
- The New York City Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on November 23rd, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
