Four Valley musicians to take part in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

The two musicians will be headed to New York City for Thanksgiving.

Four Central Valley band directors have been selected to perform in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City .

The big picture: Claudia Andrea-Tarvin, the only music teacher in Fresno chosen for the parade, will perform with the Band Directors Marching Band.

  • The other Valley band directors selected for the parade are Theodore Taneleon Jr., a teacher at Parlier High School, Visalia Unified’s David Morris, and John Rodrigues of Woodville Union School District.
  • The band directors will be part of over 400 from across the nation that are participating in the parade. 
  • The marching band theme this year will celebrate the dedication, accomplishments, and hard work of band directors and music teachers.
  • The New York City Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will take place on November 23rd, from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
