Three suspects arrested after Clovis armed robbery

The suspects led officers on a 20-mile chase.

Clovis police have arrested three suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Target parking lot at Clovis and Shaw avenues. 

One suspect is still outstanding. 

Driving the news: Four suspects drove into the Target parking lot and robbed two adults at gunpoint on Monday evening. 

  • They stole personal property before speeding away. 
  • A nearby officer tried to pull the suspects over, but when they refused to stop officers pursued them for over 20 miles. 
  • The suspects crashed their car near an orchard east of Kerman after getting stuck in mud. 
  • Officers searched the area and arrested three suspects and found an assault rifle and handgun in the car and the area of the crash. 
  • One suspect is a juvenile and was booked into the Fresno County Juvenile Justice Center. 
  • The other two suspects are Jose Mitra Barrios, 20, and Abel Sanchez Martinez, 18, both of Madera. 
  • They are all facing charges of armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, evading officers and felony charges related to the firearms. 
  • The fourth suspect remains outstanding.
