Los Angeles selected to host Super Bowl LXI

This will be the ninth Super Bowl to be held in the greater Los Angeles area.

The Super Bowl will return to California in 2027, making it two consecutive years that the NFL’s championship game is held in the Golden State.

The NFL announced Wednesday that Super Bowl LXI will be held at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in 2027.

The big picture: This will be the second time SoFi Stadium will host the Super Bowl, following up from last year when Los Angeles hosted its first Super Bowl since 1993.

  • It will also be the first time the game will be broadcast on ABC since Super Bowl XL in 2006.
  • Super Bowl LX will also be held in California. The game will be played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara in 2026.
  • This season’s Super Bowl will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, followed up by Super Bowl LIX in 2025 at the Superdome in New Orleans.
