During Wednesday night’s California Recall debate at the Nixon Library, Former San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer pushed for California to double down on stalled water storage projects in the Sierra Nevadas.

Faulconer said Gov. Gavin Newsom and California’s legislature sacrificed two key projects – Sites Reservoir and Temperance Flat Dam – to cater to extreme environmental interests at the expense of California’s long-term water resiliency.
