Tulare County Sheriff Mike Boudreaux is continuing to expand his lead in second place in Congressional District 20.
As election results continue to come in, it increasingly looks like Boudreaux and Asm. Vince Fong (R–Bakersfield) will face off in November.
Driving the news: Fong still holds a wide lead in the primary at 38.3 percent, with nearly 12,000 votes separating himself from Boudreaux.
- But Boudreaux is solidifying himself in second place, which would give him a spot on the November ballot
- Boudreaux is at 25.4 percent, putting him above Democrat Marisa Wood, who is at 22 percent.
- The Tulare County Sheriff now owns a 3,100-vote lead over Wood, up from the 2,300-vote lead he had on March 6 and 1,500-vote lead on election night.
