A jury has handed down the first ever murder conviction in a fentanyl-related homicide trial in Fresno County history on Wednesday.
The big picture: A Fresno County jury convicted Cassidy Marie Gonzalez, 24, of second-degree murder in the fentanyl overdose death of Jade Dreith, 41.
- Gonzalez remains in jail after the verdict and will be sentenced on April 24.
- She faces 15 years to life in prison.
