Fresno Co. coronavirus death toll rises by three, sits at 13

Fresno County announced Wednesday that three more individuals who had tested positive for COVID-19 have passed away.

Fresno County announced Wednesday that three more individuals who had tested positive for COVID-19 have passed away.

The three fatalities is the largest single-day jump in deaths in the county since the coronavirus pandemic started.

In total, the death toll in the county sits at 13. The three deaths come after the county announced one death on Tuesday.

All four individuals who passed away in the past week were elderly: 74 years-old, 86 years-old, 89 years-old and 79 years-old.

Fresno County currently has 652 active cases, and the total number of positive cases jumped to 1,014.

There have been 349 individuals who have fully recovered.

As of Tuesday – the latest update from the state – Fresno County has 62 coronavirus patients in the hospital.

There are also 48 hospitalized individuals who the state suspects to have COVID-19.

The county has 19 coronavirus patients in the ICU, and there are an additional four ICU patients who are suspected to have coronavirus.
