Central Valley travelers now have the ability to take a direct flight to Atlanta.
Fresno Yosemite International Airport announced last week that it has launched daily nonstop flights to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the busiest airport in the world.
The big picture: This is the farthest route that Fresno Yosemite International Airport offers, which will provide more options for travelers to connect to the east coast.
- Delta Airlines will operate the route with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
- The outbound flight will leave Fresno at 10:30 PDT and arrive in Atlanta at 5:50 a.m. EDT.
- The incoming flight will depart from Atlanta at 7:37 p.m. EDT and arrive in Fresno at 9:23 p.m. PDT.
What they’re saying: “Air service to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport consistently ranked as one of Fresno Yosemite International Airport’s Top 10 Markets for Central Valley travelers,” said Director of Aviation Henry Thompson. “We appreciate Delta Air Lines for their confidence in the Fresno market and for meeting the air service needs of our region by growing more destinations and access to the airline’s international network with nonstop service between Fresno and Atlanta.”
- Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer added, “As Fresno Yosemite International Airport embarks on a major terminal expansion project to grow our facility, air service is expanding and providing more opportunities to connect people with new places to visit or to conduct business while creating easy access to explore our great city and region.”
