The Fresno Grizzlies delivered a win in their first game as the Colorado Rockies Low-A affiliate.

In their first game as the Colorado Rockies Low-A affiliate, and after more than a year away from the field and following a major reshuffling of Minor League Baseball, the Fresno Grizzlies (1-0) squeaked by the San Jose Giants (0-1) with a 5-3 win from Excite Ballpark.

Ezequiel Tovar (3-for-5) and Mateo Gil (2-for-4) combined for three doubles, two RBI and a pair of runs to highlight the Fresno offense. While starter Breiling Eusebio (1-0) picked up the win to start his 2021 campaign. The lefty hurled five innings of two-run ball (one earned), while striking out three.

For San Jose, Ricardo Genoves and Alexander Canario led the way with two hits and a run apiece. Giants righty Prelander Berroa (0-1) suffered the decision after two frames of work. He walked a trio of Grizzlies before exiting for the evening.
