Lee Sun-kyun, the actor known for his role in the Oscar-winning film “Parasite,” has died at the age of 48.
Driving the news: He was found unconscious in a car at Waryong Park in central Seoul, and law enforcement is investigating his death as a possible suicide.
- In addition to his role in “Parasite,” Lee also starred in the sci-fi series “Dr. Brain” on Apple TV+, earning him a nomination for best actor in the 2022 International Emmy Awards.
- Prior to his death, Lee had faced police questioning in connection with alleged drug use, including marijuana. He had maintained that he was tricked into taking drugs.
- Lee’s funeral will be held for family and colleagues, according to his management company HODU&U Entertainment.
