Fresno native Xavier Worthy is being honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame for his record-setting 4.21-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Monday that the Hall of Fame requested Worthy’s cleats and jersey from the combine.
Driving the news: Worthy, a Central High School graduate who went on to play for the Texas Longhorns in college, beat John Ross III’s record official time of 4.22 seconds at the NFL Combine earlier this month.
