Former Fresno State star Orlando Robinson is headed back to California.
According to reports, Robinson will sign with the Sacramento Kings to compete for a backup role behind All-NBA center Domantas Sabonis.
The big picture: Robinson is reportedly signing a one-year contract with the Kings for what will be his third season in the NBA.
- He played in 67 games across two seasons with the Miami Heat, starting eight of them and averaging 3.2 points per game and 3.1 rebounds per game.
- Robinson had a successful Summer League with the Houston Rockets, helping showcase his ability to the Kings as he averaged 14.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 1 steal per game.
Flashback: While Robinson went undrafted out of Fresno State in the 2022 NBA Draft, he led the Bulldogs for three seasons, concluding the 2021-2022 season by being named a First Team All-Mountain West selection.
- He averaged 19.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game in his junior season, starting all 36 games for the Bulldogs.
