A Visalia man has pleaded guilty in federal court to selling machine guns.
Driving the news: Shawn Saesee, 20, pleaded guilty to selling machine guns in violation of the National Firearms Act and dealing and manufacturing firearms without a license.
- Saesee sold eight firearms, including five machine guns, to an undercover agent on four separate occasions.
- The sale happened despite the undercover agent telling Saesee that the buyer could not legally possess firearms.
What we’re watching: Saesee will be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston on Aug. 4.
- He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
