Tulare Co. Supervisor races go to incumbents

While two of the races were starting to heat up in recent weeks, all three supervisors up for re-election will continue serving on the board.

All three Tulare County Supervisors up for re-election will serve another term. 

The latest county from Tulare County came early Sunday morning. 

District 1: Up for his first re-election bid, Supervisor Larry Micari has won with a majority of the vote, with 62.86 percent support at the latest count. 

  • Challenger Joe Soria, the brother of Asm. Esmeralda Soria (D–Fresno), has 37.14 percent. 

District 2: Supervisor Pete Vander Poel will also continue serving on the board as he has 78.88 percent. 

  • Challenger Benny Corona, who tried to pitch himself as a conservative, has 21.12 percent. 

District 3: Supervisor Amy Shuklian ran unopposed in Tuesday’s election, securing her third term at the county.
