Lemoore-based Tachi Palace Casino Resort is making the switch to prohibit smoking inside its facilities beginning Friday.
The tribal casino will still maintain smoking areas outside the entrances of its casino and hotel.

The policy change at The Palace is temporary, casino management said in a release on Thursday, to mitigate the spread of coronavirus.
Kings County is one of seven San Joaquin Valley counties to be placed on the State of California’s Targeted Engagement List, signifying a spike in coronavirus cases.
However, Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Wednesday order shutting down targeted indoor activities does not apply to sovereign tribal lands.
