Golden West Casino, Bakersfield’s cardroom, released renderings of its new home near Meadows Field Airport in Oildale.
The cardroom is currently located on S. Union Ave.

The big picture: According to Kern County Associates LP, the owner of Golden West Casino, the new building will be nearly 31,000 square feet and have 45 tables that can each accommodate up to 10 people.
- The cardroom will also have a restaurant, a VIP lounge, event spaces and entertainment facilities.
- Golden West Casino was granted permission in October from the Kern County Planning Commission to make the move, which comes as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon is set to open in 2025.
