Newsom appoints Fresno man to state developmental disabilities council

Lutton brings several years of experience in child development.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has appointed a Fresno man to the State Council on Developmental Disabilities. 

The big picture: Nick Lutton has been selected by Newsom to serve on the council. 

  • Lutton was the program manager at Family Voices of California from 2022 to 2024. 
  • Before that, he was an educational resource specialist at EPU Children’s Center from 2019 to 2022. 
  • Lutton, a Democrat, currently serves as a member of the Editorial board at the American Association of Pediatrics and Fresno County In-Home Services Advisory Committee. 
  • The Senate does not have to confirm the appointment. Lutton will receive $100 per diem for compensation.
