Fresno Co. lays out coronavirus geography as death toll hits 3

For the first time, the Fresno County Department of Public Health broke down the number of cases in cities throughout Fresno County.

The Fresno County Department of Public Health announced the third coronavirus-related death in the county on Tuesday.

Total positive cases of COVID-19 have increased by 20 to 146. There are 36 travel-related cases, 25 person-to-person cases, 37 community spread cases and the remaining 48 are under investigation.

The FCDPH did not release any more information about the deceased victim but is scheduled to hold a teleconference on Wednesday where Interim Health Officer Dr. Rais Vohra will likely be able to share some basic details.

For the first time, the department broke down the number of cases in cities throughout Fresno County, , joining Tulare and Kern counties.

As of Tuesday, Fresno has 93 cases, Clovis has 15, Firebaugh has 12, Sanger has 7 and Reedley has 6.

The following cities have four or fewer cases: Kerman, San Joaquin, Coalinga, Fowler, Selma, Parlier, Orange Cove, Mendota, Kingsburg and Huron. All other cities not named by the county also have four or fewer cases.
