Clovis returns popular restaurant program

People can earn gift cards for eating out at local restaurants.

Clovis is bringing back a program that dishes out cash for simply dining out at local restaurants.

The city announced Monday that the Clovis Restaurant Rewards program has returned for the first part of February.

The big picture: When people eat or drink at a restaurant, bar or coffee house located in Clovis, they can save their receipts and take them to the Clovis Administration Building when they total $100.

  • Those receipts will earn people a $25 gift card that can be used at a Clovis restaurant.
  • People can begin collecting receipts through Feb. 12 and can redeem gift cards from Feb. 1 through Feb. 16, or until the program’s funds are exhausted.

The backstory: Last year the city, the Clovis Chamber of Commerce and the Business Organization of Old Town partnered to launch the Clovis Restaurant Rewards program.

  • The city estimates that the program brought in over $220,000 to the local economy last year.

What they’re saying: “The Clovis Restaurant Rewards program was a huge success in 2023,” said Greg Newman, CEO of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. “By supporting our local restaurants, we support so much more, including our incredible restaurant operators, thousands of employees, and a thriving local economy.”
