Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D–NY) will soon make an appearance in Bakersfield with their Fighting Oligarchy Tour.
Their tour comes on the heels of Rep. Ro Khanna (D–Fremont) holding a town hall in Bakersfield last month.
What we’re watching: The Fight Oligarchy Tour will make a stop in Bakersfield on April 15.
- The two popular progressive lawmakers will hold their event in the morning at Dignity Health Arena, with it scheduled to run into the afternoon.
- They will travel north to Auburn for another event later on April 15.
Go deeper: Per the Fighting Oligarchy Tour’s website, Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez are “hitting the road to have real discussions across America on how we move forward to take on the Oligarchs and corporate interests who have so much power and influence in this country.”
- The duo have already held events in Arizona, Colorado and Nevada and will be in Los Angeles on April 12 before heading to Bakersfield.
