An Arvin dentist passed away last week while on the job.
The California Department of Industrial Relations’ Division of Occupational Safety and Health reported the death on Wednesday.

Driving the news: The death occurred at the office of Dr. Sandra J. Gong, but the state did not reveal the identity of the dentist.
- The death was reported to the state on Dec. 21.
- According to a report from the Bakersfield Californian, the cause of death was cardiac arrest, as determined by the Kern County Coroner’s Office.
