Jeremy Renner, the movie star known for his portrayal of Hawkeye in Marvel’s Cinematic Universe, was hospitalized in Reno on New Year’s Day after a snowplow accident near his home.

The actor, a native of Modesto, was in “critical but stable” condition at a Nevada hospital after suffering a traumatic injury, his publicist announced.

What they’re saying: “As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather-related accident while plowing snow earlier today,” Renner flack, Samantha Mast, told press on Sunday, noting the actor’s family was with him and that he was receiving “excellent care.”
