Valley unemployment rates in July were up across all counties, California’s employment department announced in updated figures on Friday.
The Golden State’s unemployment rate sits at 4.4 percent, according to the California Employment Development Department. That is a decrease of 0.1 percent from July 2018, but an increase of 0.2 percent from last month.
As for San Joaquin Valley counties, figures remain nearly double the statewide unemployment rate. The average unemployment for Valley counties sits at 8.2 percent.
