Groundbreaking on the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tejon in southern Kern County is expected to commence in December.
Driving the news: The proposed $600 million facility will be built on 52 acres near Highway 99 and Highway 166 in Mettler, about a 30-minute drive from Bakersfield.
