A new cannabis dispensary is opening up in the Tower District in Fresno this weekend.
The newest Dr. Greenthumb’s dispensary is scheduled to open on Saturday with partner B-Real, the rapper and actor known from hip hop group Cypress Hill.

What we’re watching: B-Real will be on site on Saturday for a day-long grand opening, which will include VIP giveaways for the first 100 guests, food trucks, lowrider car displays, live music and celebrity appearances.
- The opening celebration will take place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The big picture: The Dr. Greenthumb’s cannabis brand first opened a dispensary in 2018 and is partnering with retail, cultivation and distribution company TRP for the first time for the Fresno dispensary.
- Government affairs consultant Kacey Auston is the local partner for the dispensary, which is located at 1264 N. Wishon Ave.
What they’re saying: “I grew up there, raised a family and built my first business there,” Auston said of the Tower District. “I know and love so many people that make the Tower District an important part of Fresno’s character and diversity. Having the chance to provide career opportunities for the community is truly an honor.”
