Clovis Unified School District is now in a stronger position to have its $400 million bond pass.
The latest update from Fresno County on Tuesday evening revealed that Measure A is now passing with 56.82% support.
The big picture: Measure A needs 55% voter approval to pass and is continuing to head in a positive direction as Fresno County processes ballots.
- Last Friday, Measure A moved into a passing position at 55.47% support, gaining enough votes over the holiday weekend to push it further into passing territory.
- So far 50,258 voters have supported Measure A, compared to 38,186 who have voted against it.
- With around 50,000 ballots counted county-wide since last Friday, around 15,000 of them came from voters in CUSD’s territory.
What we’re watching: Fresno County still has around 50,000 ballots to process, although it is unclear how many of those will come from voters within CUSD boundaries.
Other school bonds: Similar to CUSD, Fresno Unified School District’s $500 billion bond also picked up positive votes over the weekend.
- Measure H is now passing with 62.61% support. It also needs 55% to be approved.
- Last week, Measure H was passing at 61.60%.
- Measure Q, the $698 million bond for the State Center Community College District, is falling just short from passing, with votes continuing to come in from Fresno, Kings and Madera Counties.
- Measure Q, which also needs 55% to pass, is currently at 54.49% with over 284,000 votes counted in total. The measure was at 53.5% last Friday.
