CBS 47 to air Fresno State games against Sacramento State, Hawaii

Bulldog fans just have to wait for the broadcast rights of one more game to get sorted out on the schedule.

Fresno State football will have a local broadcast for this Saturday’s game against Sacramento State.

Fresno State also announced that the home game against Hawaii on Nov. 2 will be a local broadcast as well.

The big picture: CBS 47 has agreed to broadcast both games locally, with the Mountain West Network offering a stream of the broadcast online for free.

  • Scott Bemis, the Sports Director for CBS 47 and KSEE 24, will be the play-by-play broadcaster for both games.
  • He will be joined by former Fresno State quarterback Marcus McMaryion as the color commentator.

What they’re saying: “We’re thrilled to bring these Fresno State games to viewers across the Central Valley,” said Matthew Rosenfeld, Nexstar Senior Vice President and Regional Manager. “It’s a tremendous source of pride to make these games accessible to Bulldog fans on free over-the-air television, allowing everyone to share in the excitement.”

Zoom out: With the local broadcasts secured, Fresno State has now found broadcast partners for all but one game – the season finale at UCLA.

  • Fresno State will have three games broadcast nationally on truTV and streamed on Max.
  • Three games will be broadcast on a Fox network – including Oct. 12 against Washington State and Nov. 9 at Air Force, both of which could be shown over-the-air nationally on Fox.
  • The Bulldogs are also slated to appear on CBS Sports Network twice.
