Raiders eyeing move back to California – for training camp. Here’s where.

During their time in Oakland, the Raiders trained in Napa during the off-season. Their training camp home could be shifting after a few years in Vegas.

The Las Vegas Raiders are considering moving their training camp to the City of Costa Mesa in California.

Driving the news: Under the agreement, the Raiders would pay $165,000 in rent, invest $600,000 in field improvements, hold a team training camp for kids, provide 100 tickets for local students to attend an NFL game, and donate outdoor weight training equipment to Costa Mesa High School.

  • The team is in talks with Costa Mesa’s City Council about using the Jack Hammett Sports Complex for this summer’s camp.
  • The Los Angeles Chargers previously used the Jack Hammett Sports Complex for their training camp but will be utilizing their new headquarters in El Segundo for this season.
  • If the agreement is approved, five NFL teams would be practicing within 100 miles of each other, including the New Orleans Saints in Irvine, the Dallas Cowboys in Oxnard, the Los Angeles Rams (at an undisclosed Southern California site), and the Chargers in the area.
