A father in Lindsay was arrested for giving his 13-year-old daughter marijuana and vape pens to sell at school.
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest on Tuesday.
Driving the news: Sheriff’s deputies were called to an elementary school in Woodville because of a report that a 13-year-old girl was trying to sell marijuana and vape pens on campus.
- Deputies learned that the girl had received the drug paraphernalia from her father, who had encouraged her to sell them at school.
The big picture: Investigators served a warrant in the 25000 block of Road 216 in Lindsay and took the girl’s father, Juan Ortiz, into custody.
- Ortiz, 35, was charged with child endangerment and providing marijuana and vape pens to a minor.
