Fresno Yosemite International adds food trucks for late-night travelers

Fresno’s airport will have food trucks on site until terminal expansion projects finish in a couple years.

Fresno Yosemite International Airport is adding food trucks for late-night passengers as the airport expands over the next couple of years.

Food trucks will operate every day from 8 p.m. until the last flight departs.

The big picture: The two-year concession program is in partnership with the Fresno Area Hispanic Foundation, with Mexicanos Frutas y Antojos and Tacos Tepa being the first food trucks to operate at the airport.

  • Approved food trucks will operate on a rotating schedule with no more than two trucks at the airport for a maximum of six months.

What they’re saying: “As our airport expands and we welcome a record number of visitors passing through, our food options should also grow. We know how important it is to grab a bite to eat before taking off, especially on late-night flights,” said Mayor Jerry Dyer. “We want to provide the best possible experience for travelers, and what better way than with local food trucks!”

  • Councilman Tyler Maxwell said Fresno has some of the best food trucks in the Central Valley.
  • “As we watch our airport grow at a record rate, it’s our priority to accommodate the thousands of families traveling to Fresno every day,” Maxwell said. “The addition of food trucks to the airport will help ensure our late-night flyers receive a warm and delicious Fresno welcome.”
