One of Fresno’s minority economic leaders has earned the favor of California Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Newsom appointed Tara Lynn Gray, the CEO of the Fresno Metro Black Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Foundation, to be the Director of the Office of the Small Business Advocate.
Gray, 57, has been with the Chamber since 2017, and she has also served as the CEO of YADARI Enterprises since 2004.
Previously, Gray worked with Ecopia Information Technology Consulting, the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Lotus Development Corporation and Ross-Dove Company Auctioneers.
Gray, a Democrat, is a member of numerous organizations, including the California Black Chamber of Commerce and Chamber Foundation Board, the California Small Business Employer Advisory Council and the Caltrans Small Business Council.
She holds a Master of Theology in Christian studies from Grand Canyon University.
