A U.S. Secret Service agent was robbed at gunpoint while President Joe Biden was in Los Angeles for a fundraising event over the weekend.
The incident occurred in a residential community in Tustin, located about an hour’s drive southeast of Los Angeles, as the agent was returning from work on Saturday night.
Driving the news: The agent had his bag stolen at gunpoint, but he was not injured.
- During the confrontation, the agent fired his gun. It is unknown if anyone was shot.
- Authorities from the Tustin Police Department were notified of the robbery shortly after 9:30 p.m., and as of Monday, they had not yet located a suspect.
- Some of the stolen belongings were recovered in the area, and a silver Infiniti FX35 was reportedly seen leaving the scene.
