Michael Leach, the Biden Administration’s diversity chief, is leaving the White House after three years.
Leach was the first-ever person to serve as the chief diversity and inclusion officer.
The big picture: The White House announced Thursday that Leach is leaving the Biden Administration during a time in which diversity, equity and inclusion efforts are facing backlash across the nation.
- Leach was a top aide to Biden during his presidential campaign and previously worked in the NFL for 10 years in labor relations and as an assistant head coach for the Chicago Bears.
