Avenal native Jose Ramirez is returning to the Save Mart Center.
Ramirez (28-1, 18KOs) announced Tuesday that he will fight Cuban native Rances Barthelemy (30-2-1, 15KOs) on April 27.
The big picture: This will be the first fight for Ramirez under Golden Boy Promotions, the boxing promoter led by Oscar De La Hoya.
- The fight will be streamed on DAZN, with the event starting at 7 p.m.
- Ramirez will be making his 11th fight in Fresno and 7th at the Save Mart Center, with his other bouts common at Selland Arena.
- Golden Boy Promotions will give out 3,000 ticket vouchers to farm workers for the fight.
- Along with the Ramirez fight, Vergil Ortiz Jr. (20-0, 20KOs) will fight Thomas Dulorme (26-6-1, 17KOs) as the event’s co-feature.
