Repaving work to close part of Highway 41 in Kings County for five months

The road rehabilitation will resurface and restore the pavement to extend and preserve the life of the highway.

A section of Highway 41 will be closed in Kings County for the next five months to undergo resurfacing and repaving. 

Driving the news: Caltrans announced Friday that Highway 41 between Nevada Ave. and Quail Ave. will begin on Feb. 26. 

  • The pavement rehabilitation is expected to take five months and will close both directions on Highway 41. 
  • Caltrans advises drivers to take a detour using Highway 198 and Interstate 5.
