Naval Air Station (NAS) Lemoore in Kings County, California has lifted its lockdown on its operations side of the base after receiving a bomb threat Tuesday morning.
Driving the news: NAS Lemoore’s Facebook page announced mid-day that the lockdown had been lifted, gates were re-opened, and operations were able to resume.
Earlier in the day: Personnel were evacuated from affected areas, and both first responders and security forces are on the scene.
- Officials have initiated lockdown procedures and ask that personnel do not try to gain access to the Operations side at this time.
- Other personnel on the base are being asked to stay indoors in their areas and not to leave.
