Producers Dairy to hold first annual blood drive

The family-owned dairy is launching a partnership with the Central California Blood Center.

Producers Dairy is partnering with the Central California Blood Center to host its first annual blood drive.

The local dairy will hold the blood drive on Sep. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its headquarters, located at 250 E. Belmont Ave in Fresno.

Everyone who donates will receive free tacos and ice cream at the blood drive.

“Nourishing communities has always been an important part of what we do,” said Scott Shehadey, Producers Dairy CEO. “The 1st Annual Producers Dairy Blood Drive is another way of giving back and supporting the Central California Blood Center in their mission to save lives.”

The Central California Blood Center helps patients who receive care at over 20 hospitals and facilities in Fresno, Tulare, Madera, Kings and Mariposa Counties.

The center says it needs to collect 5,000 to 6,000 pints of blood monthly to meet the needs of the Central Valley community.
