Former Condors athletic trainer to appear in court in May

The hearing date has been postponed twice now.

Former Bakersfield Condors trainer Chad Drown has had his court hearing postponed once again as he faces two felonies for attempting to meet a minor to commit a sex act.

Drown was arrested by the Kern County Sheriff’s Office in October 2022 and immediately fired by the Condors.

Driving the news: Along with the felony to commit a sexual offense with a minor, Drown is also charged with the intent to commit a sexual offense.

  • He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment.

What we’re watching: Drown’s court hearing will take place on May 22 after being scheduled for last Thursday.

  • He will also be in court on May 23 for a preliminary hearing.
  • The initial pre-preliminary hearing was scheduled for January 23 before being moved.
