No information was immediately available as to whether this case was community spread or travel-related.

Kaweah Delta officials also flagged the county’s second coronavirus patient on Friday. Tulare County’s first coronavirus case was discovered at Porterville’s Sierra View District Hospital.

Kaweah Delta announced Monday it is working to identify all employees who came in contact with the patient, and will test and treat anyone who displays symptoms.

“As the rest of the country implements increasingly-restrictive measures to protect us from the coronavirus, Kaweah Delta will move forward with similar protections for our patients, their families, our staff, our physicians and our community,” said hospital CEO Gary Herbst said in a statement.
