Saint Agnes names Adventist Health executive as new president

The hospital’s next president has years of experience overseeing hospitals with Adventist Health.

Saint Agnes Medical Center announced Tuesday that Gurvinder Kaur will be the hospital’s next President and Market Leader.

Kauer joins Saint Agnes after serving as the Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Central Valley Network for Adventist Health’s Central Valley Network.

The big picture: Prior to leading Adventist Health’s Central Valley operations, Kaur was the Senior Regional Director of Vituity, where she oversaw hospitals, post-acute care practices and emergency department practices.

  • Kaur also served on the Board of Directors for Vituity.
  • Her leadership at Adventis Health saw her play a key role in reigniting and expanding patient services, such as DaVinci robotics, outpatient cardiology and cardiac cath lab, among others.
  • Kaur will start at Saint Agnes on Monday.

What they’re saying: Odette Bolano, President and CEO of Trinity Health West Region, said Kaur has a deep understanding of health care operations, physician practice dynamics and strategic knowledge of the emerging trends in the healthcare industry.

  • “I am pleased to welcome Dr. Kaur as the most senior leader at Saint Agnes, focused on setting and leading the market strategy for Saint Agnes, and the talent and gifts she brings that will help strengthen our ministry in Fresno and across Trinity Health’s West Region,” Bolano said in a statement.
