That 70’s Show star starts prison sentence in Delano

The actor will serve time in Kern County.

Actor Danny Masterson, known for his role in “That ’70s Show,” has been sent to a California state prison to serve his sentence for two rape convictions.

Driving the news: Masterson has been admitted to North Kern State Prison, where his first prison mug shot has been released. The photo shows him wearing orange prison attire, with long hair and a beard.

  • In June, Masterson was convicted of raping two women in his Los Angeles home in 2003. He was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison, and it will be more than 25 years before he becomes eligible for parole.
  • Masterson’s wife, actor Bijou Phillips, filed for divorce shortly after his sentencing, ending their nearly 12-year marriage.
  • Prior to being sent to prison, Masterson had been held in Los Angeles County jail while post-sentencing hearings were held to resolve various issues, including the transfer of all the guns he owned.
  • Masterson’s lawyers have stated that they plan to appeal the conviction.
