Gov. Gavin Newsom and his wife, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, will split their time between Sacramento and the Bay Area.
The governor’s office said in a statement that the family is moving to Marin County part time for their children’s education.

Driving the news: Newsom and his family currently live in a six-bedroom house in Fair Oaks, where the governor and his wife will continue to regularly stay.
- Their children will stay with family in Marin County as they enter new grade levels in the fall.

- The move for the children to Marin County will ensure that they do not have to switch schools when Newsom leaves office in January 2027.
