Disneyland’s Autopia to be fully electric in 2026

The theme park will phase out its gas powered vehicles over the next couple of years.

Disneyland’s gas-powered Autopia vehicles are set to be replaced with electric vehicles by 2026.

Disney made the announcement to the Los Angeles Times on Friday.

The big picture: Disneyland had already announced earlier in April that Autopia would be electrified, but did not share any specific details at the time.

  • Friday, Disneyland said it will phase out gasoline vehicles within the next 30 months to switch to fully electric vehicles.
  • Disneyland will not use hybrid vehicles.
  • Autopia opened with Disneyland in 1955.
